Advocates dispatch immediately to Kootenai Health (CDA) or regional clinics when someone undergoes a forensic medical exam (rape kit) after sexual assault or physical strangulation. Advocates provide warm clothing, comfort, and rights navigation.
✦ Civil Protection Orders & Court Navigation
Navigating Idaho courts can be intimidating. Legal advocates assist you with drafting and filing Domestic Violence Protection Orders (DVPO) in the First Judicial District Court (Kootenai and surrounding counties) and attend hearings at your side.
✦ Licensed Adult & Child Trauma Counseling
Free, specialized psychotherapy and somatic healing for survivors, as well as art therapy and nervous-system stabilization for children who have witnessed domestic discord.
